1. We respect copyright
LOUREZ GAMES (lourez.com) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its players to do the same. Players may only post games, pictures and text that they made themselves or have permission to use (see section 6 of the Terms of Service). We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement in line with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
2. How to send a takedown notice
If you own the copyright in something that appears on this site without your permission — for example a picture or game in a Community post, a comment, or a profile — email a takedown notice to: [YOUR EMAIL HERE]
Please put "DMCA notice" in the subject line and include:
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is fine).
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed.
- The exact web address (URL) of the content on lourez.com, or enough detail for us to find it (for a Community post: its title and who posted it).
- Your contact details: name, address, phone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
Notices that are missing these details may not be valid, and we may ask you for more information. Knowingly sending a false notice can make you legally responsible for the harm it causes.
3. What we do
When we receive a valid notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the content, and we may tell the player who posted it. Players who repeatedly post content that infringes other people's rights will have their accounts suspended or deleted. Removed Community posts are not refunded.
4. Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake (for example, you made it yourself or have permission), you can email a counter-notice to the address above. Include your signature, what was removed and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, and your name, address and phone number. If the original complainant doesn't take legal action, we may put the content back.
5. Reporting other problems
For content that's inappropriate but not a copyright problem, use the "Report" links on profiles and comments, or "Report this Ad" under any Community post. Admins review every report.
Lourez Games is not affiliated with or endorsed by Scratch or the Scratch Foundation. Games linked from the Community board are hosted on Scratch and belong to their creators. To report a project on Scratch itself, use the Report button on its Scratch page. See also our Copyright Notice for Lourez's own games.
